It was a difficult contest for the Bulldog fighter who struggled throughout to deal with the height of Davies, especially in the clinch. Davies showed nice Boxing skills as he set up kick and knee strikes, whilst Winstanley returned with his own punch combinations. Both showed nice low kick techniques and although it was competitive throughout, Davies retained an edge throughout to take a unanimous points decision.
