Sean Hardy enjoyed an excellent contest with fellow novice James Matingley on "Shock N Awe" but made the fatal error of taking just a little too long to work out of a G&P situation.

It was a nice even contest with both men showing skills beyond their experience and Hardy seemed to be the stronger of the two throughout.

But a contest can turn on a sixpence and this one did just that. There were some nice trade off's with both men taking good shots but when it went to ground Hardy found himself underneath the G&P of Mattingley.

Although he didn't look to be in any trouble he was taking too long to find a way out of hit back and as the referee looked closer the writing was on the wall. Hardy needed to show that he was still in the fight and thinking about it was not enough.

The referee stepped in and it was all over before the end of the 1st round.

A disappointed Hardy was not hurt and comes away more experienced and eady for the Absolute Adrenaline Main Event on 11th April.
